Getting Ready for Summer 2026

Amy S on Jan 28th 2026

It's so hard to jump ahead to different seasons. As retailers, we know that the change is just around the corner and we better be ready.  I'm currently working in store 5 days per week, even though there isn't a whole lot going on in Leland this January.  I have been battling the county snow plows with my shovel. Trying to keep the steps clear for you guys has been no easy feat! I've attached below a pic for those of you who come in the store during the summer and say "What's it like here in the Winter?"

I've recently partnered with Ellibee Sews for the Winter, and have a collection of her coats in the shop.  They'll be here through April if you've been wanting to try on one of her coats in person- they're all handmade in Northern Michigan with recycled quilts and blankets. Here is a photo of her most talked about coat.  It's appropriately named Eagles Landing. There are so many more in the store, so make sure to follow me on Instagram or Facebook , or even better, come say hi in person if you want to see more.

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and while I don't have any big things planned for the holiday, I am looking forward to a few buying trips coming up.  I'll be headed out to Chicago and Las Vegas in February and can't wait to see new styles to bring to the store.  I'll be home just in time for the Winter Windfall in Leland, which is the weekend after presidents day.  So be sure to stop in if you're in town for 50% off storewide- that includes brands like Faherty Brand, Icelandic Designs, Vineyard Vines, Salaam clothing, etc.  (Ellibee Sews Coats will be inelligible for the sale, as they are all handmade locally.  We believe firmly that paying artists for their time and skill is the only way to keep artists in our communities).

Thanks so much for reading.  I hope you have a great winter season and I hope to see you in the store soon!
